The Belly of the Beast

The Lockheed C-5M Galaxy really is a gargantuan beast. One was on display at JBSA Randolph during the Great Texas Air Show with both nose and tail open to allow attendees to walk through. This picture was framed to avoid somewhere around 500 people that were streaming through the aircraft’s cargo hold as I shot it.

Find all my pictures from the show at https://davewilson.smugmug.com/Events/Great-Texas-Air-Show-2024.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 13mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
