HIAM 2024: Demolition Day

Last weekend saw the culmination of this year’s Dripping Springs Hometown Missions “Home in a Month” project for 2024. This year’s recipients were the Salazar family who had approached the organisation in the hope of receiving help with bathroom repairs. After inspection, however, it was decided that their 40 year old home needed completely replaced so planning began. With contractors, volunteers, and donors signed up, work began on the new house in mid April.

This image was taken on April 13th, minutes before the demolition crew started work, and shows Nora and her family on the steps of the old home.

You can find all the project photos and video at https://davewilson.smugmug.com/Home-in-a-Month-2024.
