Scottish Parliament

The Scottish Parliament building can be found sandwiched between the end of the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh. The building was designed by Spanish architects Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue and opened in 2004. It’s an absolutely gorgeous building but arrived 3 years late and 10 to 40 times over budget (costing £414 million on completion with the initial estimate in the £10 – £40 million range) after a great deal of controversy involving design changes.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4.5
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Exposure bias: +1/2EV
  • Focal length: 8mm
  • ISO: 320
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s
