The Cathedral of Saint Dominius is built within the walls of Roman emperor Diocletian’s palace in the centre of Split, Croatia. Although construction on the cathedral began in 305 C.E., the building wasn’t consecrated until the start of the 7th century. The tower was a later addition in the 12th century.
