Most images of Edinburgh Castle are taken from the Princes Street side but here’s one taken from Salisbury Crags on the opposite side of the city. The castle sits at the highest point of Castle Rock and the Royal Mile extends from there, through the Old Town, past St. Giles Cathedral, and down the hill to Holyrood Palace and the new Scottish Parliament Building (neither of which you can see in this image).
