Downtown Reflection

Not all drone shots need to be taken from high above the subject. This shot of the downtown Austin skyline reflected in the waters of Lady Bird Lake, taken about half an hour before yesterday’s image, was shot from about 10 feet above the water. In this case, the drone allowed me to position a camera exactly where it needed to be to get the composition I wanted.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/1.7
  • Camera: FC3582
  • Focal length: 6.72mm
  • ISO: 110
  • Shutter speed: 1/90s
