Night in Goblin Valley

Goblin Valley State Park in Utah is a fascinating place that I’ve visited a couple of times now. Not only is the landscape amazing, but you are also permitted to stay late after dark, and can easily obtain permission to fly drones there. This image was taken well after sunset on October 5th, 2022 during our most recent NxNW expedition to Utah. Lighting is provided solely by the moon.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 7mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 45s
