Bat Watchers

I went downtown last night to meet a few photography friends and wander Auditorium Shores. My original plan had been to take some new drone skyline shots but it was very windy so I had to fall back on the “normal” camera instead. We ended up on Congress Avenue Bridge just after sunset so hung around with the tourists to watch the bats leave. Here’s an image looking downstream towards the new development on Rainey Street with a large number of bat-watching kayakers in the foreground.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Exposure bias: -5/10EV
  • Focal length: 8mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/2s
