Racy Recoil Robot

Last weekend, I spent two days photographing an off-season robotics competition at Dripping Springs High School. Here’s the team I mentor’s robot racing across the field during one of its matches. Team 9577 “Recoil” caters to kids who are home-schooled, go to private schools or attend schools outside the Dripping Springs school district. It is based at Innovation Treehouse, a maker space in the town.

Find more pictures from the event at https://davewilson.smugmug.com/Robotics/DRIP-August-2025.

For the technically inclined...
