One of the most exciting things about World Endurance Championship is the fact that it’s basically three separate races running concurrently on the same track. The field consists of three different specifications of car, each with rather different performance and speed characteristics, meaning that there’s a great deal of overtaking going on. Here’s an image of one of my favourite cars from the 2017 LMGTE class, the slowest of the groups in the competition but by no means a collection of slow cars! Car number 95 from Aston Martin Racing was driven by a team consisting of Richie Stanaway, Marco Sorensen and Nicki Thiim. Here we see it negotiating the S-curves at Circuit of the Americas, Austin on September 15th, 2017 during Lone Star Le Mans weekend.
