Yesterday’s wander around Santa Fe took us to the tourist heart of the city, the plaza, which was distinctly busier than usual, likely due to an influx of Thanksgiving visitors. I’m no fan of crowds but the trip is always worthwhile since it gives me an opportunity to visit the Monroe Gallery, a stellar downtown gallery which specializes in iconic photojournalistic images and is currently running an exhibition of portraits of artists along with their standing show of pictures covering 75 years or so of tumultuous world events.
Today’s picture, once again taken with my infra-red camera, shows the New Mexico Museum of Art. This building sits on the north-west corner of the plaza and is, in my mind, one of the most pleasing examples of Santa Fe’s omnipresent adobe architecture.
