Photos of the band tend to fall into three categories – those taken in the bleachers during the game (mostly headshots and small groups of friends), shots of the half time show performance and general shenanigans in front of the home crowd just after half time. This picture falls squarely into the first category. The Hi Steppers dance team sits on one end of the bleachers that the band also occupy so, as I’m wandering around in front of the band, I can often take photos of players with a fantastic gold background provided by the out-of-focus dancers.
