Texas Rattler

I read a story in the paper this morning about an impasse in the Texas government over whether or not to ban the practice of catching rattlesnakes by flushing them out of their dens using gasoline so I had to post this picture today. This coiled rattlesnake was seen in the Rattler and Reptile Museum in Fort Davis during a trip there a couple of years ago.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/22
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Focal length: 70mm
  • ISO: 1600
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
