Last summer, Nikki and I took a downtown Austin Segway tour. Despite looking utterly geeky (not that that’s either unusual for me or a bad thing as such), it was enormous fun. The control system these things use is beautifully clever and makes them really easy to drive. I can highly recommend giving it a shot if you get an opportunity.
