New Orleans Industry

Sometimes you see a view and think “if only I had a camera with me!”. Very occasionally, you remember that you DO have a camera with you and are able to actually capture the image. That was my experience when I woke up and looked out the window of my room on the 14th floor of the New Orleans Marriott on December 31st. The backlit scene on the opposite bank of the Mississippi was amazing with so many interesting, industrial silhouettes obvious through the gold/yellow/orange post-sunrise light. I grabbed a camera and super-telephoto to compress the layers and captured this image.
