Scott Monument

I’ve been remiss in posting of late since we’re traveling and there has been way too much fun being had to find time to process pictures. I did manage to find a few minutes this afternoon to go through some of the photos taken since arriving in Scotland last Thursday and here’s one of my favourites so far. This shows the monument to Sir Walter Scott on Princes Street in Edinburgh during dusk last Saturday. We walked past the monument on the way back to our hotel after watching a show on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe so I only had my iPhone but the scene and light was too good to miss so I snapped this image with the ultra-wide lens and rather liked the result.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/1.8
  • Camera: iPhone 13 Pro
  • Focal length: 1.57mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/35s
