Zodiac at Cape Tuxen

I’ll stick with the zodiac theme today with this image taken at Cape Tuxen on the Antarctic mainland. This was one of the most breathtaking views of the expedition – the scale of those mountains in the background really doesn’t come across in this photo, unfortunately – and was made even more impressive by the fact that we were surrounded by many, many feeding humpback whales.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Exposure bias: +5/10EV
  • Focal length: 23mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
