Our December expedition to Antarctica left Ushuaia in the afternoon and sailed east along the Beagle Channel, closely followed by Quark Expedition’s ship “Ultramarine”. Apparently we were on very similar itineraries because we bumped into them several times over the following three weeks. Here, the ship is seen backlit in golden, sunset light as it followed us close astern on our first night out of port.
