Robert Owen’s House

I’m heading back to our recent trip to Scotland with today’s picture of Robert Owen’s house in the historic village of New Lanark. Owen was owner and manager of the cotton mills in New Lanark at the start of the 19th century. As a proponent of utopian socialism, he implemented improvements to the working and living conditions of those working there including access to education and healthcare, and a 6 day work week.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Exposure bias: -5/10EV
  • Focal length: 47mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
