I’m just back from spending the weekend covering the FIRST in Texas District Championships at NRG Arena in Houston where 90 of the top robotics teams in Texas and New Mexico competed to earn qualification spots for the upcoming FIRST World Championship in a couple of weeks. Congratulations to the winning 3-robot alliance of teams 9140 The Robobots, 9128 ITKAN Robotics and 6369 Mercenary Robotics who took the championship title. Here’s the 9128 robot playing this year’s fast-paced game “Rebuilt” which involves gathering hundreds of yellow “fuel” and launching them into an inverted cone “hub” to score points.
