YJSP Graduates, 2026

I’ve been posting a fair number of portraits of graduates recently so I reckon it’s only fair that I should bring it home with a picture of our family’s graduate and some of his friends. Drew (front) graduated from Georgia Tech in Atlanta last weekend. He’s an avid member of the Yellow Jacket Space Program, one of the university’s rocket clubs, and is seen here with a collection of his graduating friends and one of the club’s previous rockets. They are all currently in the middle of the Black Rock Desert in Nevada where they launched their own rocket yesterday – a fitting end to Drew’s time in the formal education system.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/13
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 28mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s
