Brown Skua




A Brown Skua (Stercorarius antarcticus), also known as an Antarctic Skua, seen bathing at Gold Harbour, South Georgia on December 25th, 2024. Fans of the movie “Happy Feet” will recognize this bird as the villain that hangs around penguin colonies attempting to prey on poorly-guarded chicks.
