One of the most useful effects of having an FAA Part 107 drone license is that it frees you from the strict 400ft altitude limit imposed on recreational flyers. As long as I am within 400 feet of a structure, I can fly up to 400 feet above it. With the new Waterline tower topping out at over 1000 feet, that gave me a chance to take some downtown images from a brand new vantage point while flying drones yesterday evening with Evan Gearing.
