New Lanark in IR




A year ago this week, I was back in Scotland so I’ll be posting a few images from that trip over the next few days. This is an infra-red image showing the center of New Lanark where we stayed for the first couple of days of the trip. The village sits on the banks of the River Clyde and is only a couple of miles from the house I grew up in. New Lanark is the site of a late 18th century cotton mill and famed for David Dale and Robert Owen’s experiment in utopian society. The restored village and mill is a UNESCO World Heritage site and well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.
