I didn’t shoot many HDRs on last February’s trip partly because I didn’t need to but mostly because the tour leader was a great believer in the ”Cartier-Bresson” school where what comes out of the camera is exactly what you run with. I must admit I’m doing a lot more of that now, not relying on post processing anything like as much, but I still enjoy mucking around in Lightroom, Photoshop and Photomatix so you won’t be seeing me becoming a ”straight out of the camera” purist any time soon.
This image shows some of the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon shortly after sunrise on a very chilly winter morning. The light was gorgeous (you can see a non HDR image from the same time over on Flickr to compare) and the view from Bryce Point spectacular.
Very nice Dave. I have always wanted to make it out to Bryce. Images like this make me want to go now! I like both images equally. Thanks for the posting it.
