This is probably the best little museum you’ve never heard of. My wife suggested we take the kids this past weekend and I was surprised and delighted to discover the Texas Memorial Museum on the UT campus, tucked away behind the Bass Concert Hall.
It’s a rather small museum but don’t let that put you off visiting since they cram the space they have full of wonderful exhibits of fossils, gems and minerals and Texas wildlife. On top of that, there is a beautiful exhibit of nature images by a couple of local photographers.
If you find yourself on the UT campus with an hour or so to space, you could do a lot worse than pop in for a look around.
