Town Lake Reflection, Austin

I hate to admit it but I don’t know which building this is. I can tell you, however, that the picture was taken from the Congress Avenue Bridge (now renamed the Ann Richards Bridge) at sunset during a photowalk just before Christmas. The reflection of the setting sun on the glass and of the whole building in the lake was just too good to pass up.

This image also shows that we do, actually, have Autumn here in Texas. I strongly suspect it was over about 10 minutes after I took this shot, though.

This is another first for me since the image was generated using Photomatix “Fuse Exposures” function which allows for a far more natural looking result than processing via the HDR/tonemapping route. I rather like the way this turned out and will definitely be playing with this mode more in the future.
