And now for something completely different..
I was taking pictures at my son’s first swim meet (or “swimming gala” for British readers) this past Saturday and, in addition to loads of images of kids swimming, I also grabbed some abstracts of the reflections in the pool. After some serious mucking around in Lightroom, I was rather pleased with this one so here it is.
Now that is a very very cool shot Dave – absolutely LOVE the abstract, would love to know how you “mucked” around in LR!
This is wonderful Dave – I love the look you came up with for it!
Thanks, folks.
Brian, I took a look at my LR develop settings for this one and, although I worked on it for some time, it seems that the final version didn’t have too many tweaks outside the tone curve. I pulled the contrast up and saturation down in the Basic panel and modified the tone curve for medium contrast with shados -85, darks -31, lights +9 and highlights +3. Aside from a bit of noise reduction (it was shot at 2200ISO) and sharpening, that’s it.
