Chrysler Building & Grand Central Terminal

Welcome back to New York! Having finished looking through my Brooklyn Bridge shots a couple of weeks ago, I’m moving up to Midtown this week with a series of images I overlooked (probably since most of them required some Photoshop work) the first time through.

This first image shows the Chrysler Building, one of my New York favourites, and the front of Grand Central Terminal.

I like the composition of this image with statue in front. Well done!

Nice processing, Dave. I like the aged feel to this.

Thanks, guys. This picture was initially one I had marked to reject. The basic tone map was flat and uninteresting (the light was terrible that day). After another run through Photoshop and some curves, b&w conversion and toning, I rather like the result though. The lesson here, I guess, is not to delete the “rejects” too quickly!
