Yesterday, I mentioned the interior glass wall in the LBJ Presidential Library that allows you to look from the main room of the building into the archives. This whole wall is covered in shelving stacked with red file folders, each with a gold seal.
I’ve never actually seen a human being walking in front of these files but I expect interested historians are in there during the week, wading through the paperwork looking for information on things-presidential.
By way of background, I shot this with the 70-200mm lens from as far away as I could get. I was significantly below the level of the files but reckoned I could just tweak the perspective to get a completely regular, rectangular composition. After 20 minutes of tweaking in Lightroom, however, I still couldn’t get everything correctly horizontal and vertical so, as a cop out, I recropped so that there are no horizontals or verticals at all 🙂
Sometimes diagonal is good. This is a nice composition Dave.
