Cheerleaders

Summer is moving on and it’s getting closer to the start of football season. Now I’m no big sport fan (aside from motor racing and alpine skiing but they don’t figure large in Texas) but I love our local high school football games. The actual football game is, of course, completely secondary to the whole experience of gathering together with pretty much everyone in the town, listening to the band, watching the cheerleaders and drill team perform, eating hamburgers, letting the kids run around with their friends and all the kinds of things you associate with a major, small-town community event.

I hope you end up seeing a lot more pictures from Dripping Springs High School games this year since I’ve volunteered as a photographer for the band (who were 2nd in the state competition last year and first the year before). Fingers crossed that they need the help.
