Just to prove that I do occasionally point my lens in the direction of the field while at our local High School football matches, here’s one from last season that shows actual play (albeit in the background and out of focus). Getting decent images of the play is tricky here since most of the games are after dark and the floodlighting is definitely not up to NFL standards. In this case, I was also rather far back shooting from the front row of the grandstand.
