I had the pleasure and honour of being asked to stand in for Jerry Hayes as photographer to the Longhorn Band during Saturday night’s UT home game against New Mexico at Texas Memorial Stadium so I’ll be running some of my favourite images from the night this week.
The first shot shows the band’s new drum major, Alex Judd. Different people conduct the band during each of the 4 quarters and this was taken just before Alex took to the ladder.
This was the fourth or fifth time that I’ve taken pictures for the band and you can see all my previous favourites here if you are interested.
He looks very happy, I’m sure it’s because you’re taking his picture and not so much the opportunity to lead the band! Nice portrait of the young lad! Well done!
