Longhorn Band: Abandoned Tubas




You can’t help but be drawn to the tubas when shooting a large band. As a section, they offer such an amazingly large, reflective surface! It’s almost certain that more tubas will appear here shortly.

For now, here’s a shot taken as the band was forming up to march into the stadium. Give the weight of a tuba, I suspect that players take advantage of any chance they get to put it down!

That is a pretty big mess of tubas! They make for good pics, like this one! Very cool!

Apparently these instruments are all brand new this year. I learned this when I commented on how much shinier they seemed than last year (when they were still pretty shiny, of course).
