One of the rooms Bob Lussier and I visited in Stone Mill had obviously been used as a paint storage and mixing shop. Various parts of the room were covered in multi-coloured spatter marks offering some amusing opportunities to make abstract images and interesting little detail shots like this one.
This same room also had a floor made of curling tin plates which I spent quite some time trying to photograph. I’m still playing with those shots but am not confident that they have worked well enough to post. This image of a paint-daubed cabinet handle did, however, jump out at me.
Way cool! No telling how many hands have used that cabinet!

I know that room well Dave, and I love the way you’ve distilled the whole room into one small scene that really depicts what it’s about.

Thanks, Steve. I have a couple of other shots from that room that will likely make it onto the photoblog some time in the future too.
crazy cool colors Dave, I like your rendition of the windows as well, looked like a fun trip

Mike, you need to get yourself up there and convince Bob to show you round too. You would have a great time there and would probably show even more “childlike enthusiasm” than I apparently did 🙂
