Stair, Everett Mill

Yesterday’s image showed Bob shooting in this stairwell and he’s posted one of his shots today so I pulled this one a couple of days forward in the queue so that it would look as if we coordinated our posts 🙂

Bob has taken a very natural approach to his processing of this stairwell but I chose the opposite extreme and kicked the settings up a notch or two to really pull out the texture here.

Observant viewers will be able to tell that we were working on different floors at the same time when we shot these similar images. Leave a comment if you want to explain how you figured this out and demonstrate how clever you are.

I gave up on clever a few years ago so I’ll just comment. The shot is really nice, Dave. I like the details and how you worked diagonals from three corners of the frame. Very cool!

The handrail creates a different secant in the two versions. 😉

Both are well done and I love how wildly different they are, despite the subject matter being so similar. Well done!

Cab, I hadn’t noticed the handrail difference! I did, however, notice something else. Now that you mention it, though, the handrail is a dead giveaway so I award you the “clever clogs” prize as the first commenter to point out one of the differences 🙂
