St. Patrick's Cathedral, New York

It’s always fun to find creative ways around the tripod ban in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. They are, thankfully, quite happy to allow people to use Gorillapods so, when I’m there, I’ll use mine to attach the camera to the back of a pew and shoot some brackets.

On this trip, the cathedral was very busy so getting images without people wasn’t really practical, I rather liked this one, though, with the single figure in the middle and the ghosts of tourists wandering past the altar. It’s a pity that there’s so much scaffolding in the shot. I guess I’ll just have to go back in a couple of years when the renovation work is complete.
