Up, Up and Away

When I posted this over on Facebook, someone made a comment about Superman and it seemed rather appropriate so I’ll follow that theme here 🙂 This is Tony Marinello again, this time up the conductor’s ladder directing the band towards the end of the September 8th game.

Some of my favourite Longhorn Band shots so far are of the conductors in action. This one was taken a bit late – the sky is almost black – but the ones shot slightly earlier when the sun was just below the horizon and there’s still some colour to brighten the sky make for very dramatic compositions.

Although I shot most of the LHB pictures without flash, these ones used a single off-camera strobe to light the conductor.
