Zilker Photowalkers

Every month or so, Simi Shonowo puts out an email shout to local photographers and arranges a photowalk in the downtown Austin area. Yesterday, a hardy group of 5 gathered at the Zilker Botanical Gardens and wandered around for a couple of hours taking pictures and having a lovely, geeky time. We ended the trip with lunch at Chuy’s and an opportunity to pass cameras around and compare results. As usual, it was fascinating to see how different people can see exactly the same scene in radically different ways.

Partway through the walk, we stopped and took a self-timer group portrait. From left to right this shows Simi Shonowo, Julie Perkins, yours truly, Quentin Fennessy and Chris Sader.
