Clarksville Mail Box

What with all the rodeo action and everything, I’ve been remiss in not posting any images from our recent World Wide Photo Walk get together. This took place a couple of weekends ago and the group I normally join was walking around the Clarksville neighbourhood west of downtown Austin this year.

As usual, I find these walks more fun from a social rather than photographic point of view – there are just too many interesting people to chat with! Here’s one of my shots from the morning, though. This was taken with my new favourite lens, the Nikon 85mm f/1.8D which, to be honest, I’m tending to shoot too wide open. If you’re going to buy a fast lens, surely there’s only one aperture you should be using it at? 🙂
