Carvings at Notre Dame

Notre Dame Cathedral and the square in front of it must be the busiest place in Paris. During the week, it was pretty busy but on Saturday, it was absolutely crammed with lines 100 yards long to get into the building itself.

This isn’t surprising, of course, because the building and its location are absolutely spectacular. The exterior masonry is as intricate as anything I’ve seen and the interior stained glass is breathtaking.
