There’s no denying that La Grande Arche at La Défence in Paris is a pretty striking structure but my aesthetic sense is always bothered by all the scaffolding elevator stuff that clutters the central space underneath the lovely clean, geometric arch itself. That said, some of the awnings in that same gap make for interesting framing of pictures like this one.
