Another of the Texas painted churches seemed appropriate for Easter Sunday morning. This is Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas. These two saints appear frequently in the names of churches in this area due to the fact that the churches were founded by Czech immigrants. Cyril and Methodius were the two monks who originally translated the bible into the Czech language so they hold a special place in the list of saints for these congregations.
