The City of Tomorrow

A few weeks ago, I did a shoot for wind quintet “The City of Tomorrow” while they were making a tour stop in Austin. They wanted a modern feel and had commented favourably on some of my architectural work so we decided to get together at Austin City Hall and see what we could come up with.

This shot ended up as one of my favourites. It’s taken underneath the large solar array at City Hall and I broke the rules by using a fisheye lens to distort the straight lines of the panel framework (remember – never use a fisheye or ultra-wide lens for people shots).
