Crowded Photo Booth

We were invited to our first quinceañera recently and had the pleasure of celebrating Priscilla’s birthday with the Martinez family yesterday evening. One of the hits of the event was the photo booth where there seemed to be a competition raging to see how many people could fit inside at once!

For this kind of event, when I’m not there as an official photographer, I will normally take a long a camera and fixed lens. My usual choice is the “nifty fifty” 50mm f/1.4 but last night I chose the 35mm f/2.0 instead and it proved great for the occasion.

You can find more photos from the event on my SmugMug site.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/3.3
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Focal length: 35mm
  • ISO: 3200
  • Shutter speed: 1/6s
