Under Old Moore’s Crossing Bridge




Old Moore’s Crossing Bridge can be found crossing Onion Creek in Richard Moya Park to the east of Austin near the airport. Interestingly enough, it used to be the main bridge in Austin, crossing the Colorado River at Congress Avenue before being moved here. The original structure on Congress had 6 sections whereas the moved one only has three but it’s still a pretty impressive structure to cross a fairly small creek.

Here’s a shot of the underside of its wooden decking. No doubt, I’ll post a topside shot sometime soon too.
