Nathan and his Dogs

We spent part of yesterday afternoon helping the 4-H club team at this year’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life event at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park. It was a more poignant experience than usual this year since a good friend from Scotland passed away after a two year fight with ovarian cancer last week but, at the same time, it was hopeful seeing so many people there raising money for cancer research and so many survivors cheering each other on.

I shot quite a few images (you can find my picks on SmugMug here) but this one, which really has no direct connection with the event as such, is definitely my favourite. I was playing with my 85mm f/1.8 lens and grabbed this shot of Nathan as he played with his dogs. What a model!

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2
  • Camera: CORPORATION
  • Exposure bias: +3/6EV
  • Focal length: 85mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/125s
