Waiting in the Wings

It seems odd to me that two of my favourite photos from last Saturday night’s bull riding were not of the riding or cowboys taking part but of a couple of their kids who were watching from down by the chutes. This little guy was really keen to get into the action – he came fully dressed to take part and was obviously loving the whole experience. His rapt attention in this image, taken as he watched one of the riders, really made it stand out for me.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4
  • Camera: CORPORATION
  • Exposure bias: -3/6EV

It is not odd at all! It is like looking at the kid looking at his future… great capture!?
