Sun Through Trees and Mist, China Beach, B.C.

Our most memorable day of hiking during the Vancouver Island trip was around the China Beach/Mystic Beach area where the trails take you from the forest down to two beautiful sandy beaches. When we arrived on China Beach, I was delighted to see that a fog bank was drifting in from the sea at one end of the cove creating wonderful patterns of rays as the sun shone through it and the trees. You can find another shot taken on China Beach that morning here.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: CORPORATION
  • Focal length: 28mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/90s
