DHC-3 Turbine Single Otter

We saw quite a few of these aircraft during our stay in Victoria, British Columbia recently. This is a De Havilland Canada DHC-3 Turbine Single Otter which seems to be the workhorse of the Vancouver Island and Puget Sound seaplane companies. It carries up to 14 people with a maximum speed of 130mph.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: CORPORATION
  • Exposure bias: +1EV
  • Focal length: 300mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/350s

It was packed in my backpack in the trunk of the car which was locked on the ferry car deck at the time 🙂
